31 Creamery Road, Tatamagouche, NS
WordPlay, a fun-filled literary event for children of all ages, takes place on June 18 at the Performing Arts Centre at Creamery Square in Tatamagouche. Beginning at 9 a.m. and running until about 1 p.m., children’s authors Lisa Dalrymple, Kate Inglis and Nancy Wilcox-Richards will read chosen excerpts from their books. There will be music! And wild and wonderful activities!
Hosted by author and poet Sheree Fitch of River John, the morning begins a bit earlier than usual, with a “Zombie Walk” at 8:45 a.m. from the nearby train station to the venue at Creamery Square. Participants should arrive in zombie costume, or dressed as a witch or some other character from the book If I Were a Zombie, by Nova Scotia author Kate Inglis.
