A former high school teacher and university instructor, Don Aker lives and writes near Port George on Nova Scotia’s Bay of Fundy. He is the author of more than 20 books that have earned him multiple honours, among them the Canadian Library Association’s Honour Book Award, the White Pine Award, the Ann Connor Brimer Award, and the Canadian Authors Association Lilla Stirling Award.
