Pantry and Palate: Remembering and Rediscovering Acadia Food by author Simon Thibault has just been shortlisted for the 2018 Taste Canada Awards under the Regional/Cultural Cookbooks division!
This is an annual award that recognizes the best books written about food and beverages across Canada within categories such as health and special diet cookbooks, single-subject cookbooks, and general food blogs. A total of 91 cookbooks and 50 food blogs were submitted this year and the final winners will be announced at the Taste Canada Awards Gala on October 29th, 2018.
About the Regional/Cultural Cookbooks division from Taste Canada’s website:
“The award is given to the best cookbook written by a Canadian author (or authors), which best exemplifies the cooking of a specific terroir or region in Canada, or, the cooking of a specific ethnic group (in terms of race, nationality, or religious heritage) in Canada or around the world.”
