Jennifer McGrath Kent is a freelance writer and educator who lives in Lower Coverdale, New Brunswick. She is the author of Chocolate River Rescue, which was shortlisted for four children's choice book awards: the Silver Birch, the Hackmatack, the Diamond Willow and Manitoba's Young Readers Choice Award. A graduate of St. FX and the University of Victoria, she has worked as an English instructor at the University of Moncton, a CBC Radio reporter and writer, and a speechwriter for the city of Moncton.
