Deirdre Kessler is a Charlottetown-based writer, teacher, and broadcaster. She is the author of five children's novels and five picture books, including the award-winning Brupp Rides Again and Lobster in My Pocket. She teaches children's literature, creative writing, and composition with the University of Prince Edward Island English Department. Brenda Jones lived in Montreal for thirty years working as an artist in an animation studio but recently moved back to her native Prince Edward Island to take up illustrating full-time. She has illustrated more than a dozen books, including Simon and Catapult Man, Skunks for Breakfast, Lobster in My Pocket, Hockey Night Tonight, and the instant classic Buddy the Bluenose Reindeer.
